 My Game Notes
The first major conference game for both of these squads presents a big challenge. For Florida, they will be starting Purdue graduate transfer Austin Appleby in a very, very loud Neyland Stadium. The Vols have dealt with injuries to Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Cam Sutton and Quart’e Sapp. Sutton is out for an extended period of time, and Sapp is out for the year with a torn ACL. The Tennessee offensive line has not performed well against inferior opponents such as Ohio and Appalachian State.

The Gators try to extend their 11-game winning streak in this series, while the Vols attempt to prove their legitimacy. My prediction is Tennessee 24-Florida 23, possibly in OT.
